About Dr. Annie Feighery, Executive Director
Co-Founder, The Domestic Agenda
Annie Feighery, MPA, EdM, is a global health researcher, independent filmmaker, author, and mother of three in New York City. Dr. Feighery is the co-founder of The Domestic Agenda, an advocacy organization and research lab for maternal survival in international development. Through the organization, she is currently filming a documentary on its effort to crowdsource the United Nations Millennium Development Goal #5, aimed at reducing maternal mortality. Ms. Feighery has published on the topics of international maternal health, child health, and mental health, as well as social networks, systems research, and social capital. Her forthcoming book, Without a Village, analyzes the impact of social capital on international development efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. At Columbia University, Ms. Feighery was the recipient of the Teachers College Policy Fellowship (2008) and Technology Fellowship (2010). Ms. Feighery receive her doctorate in health and behavior from Columbia University in April 2013. |
